You might be interested in a new website - atheistprinciples.tripod.com (see also the linked facebook group, 'No, I don't want to join your cult') - created in response to several recent attempts by complete strangers to convert me to their beliefs. I decided to write and make available my own 'pamphlet', 'A Brief Guide to Atheism', so that in future I can give them something to think about in return.
I'd be grateful for any publicity/comments/etc.
Keep up the good work.
Best,

John,

I stumbled on your anniversary/invite from stake pres post when I was trying to find NB stake pres contact info on Google. I read a comment on that post about walking away and letting things be but, as you probably know, there is no walking away from the church.
I'm trying...they keep finding me and won't take no for an answer.

Is there a way to speak to you via email, privately? I would like to hear whatever part of your story you are willing to share so I know what to expect and how to go about getting off the "save her!" list I must be on.

Thanks,
Ruth

It's Dana Huber from WFC. I couldn't find you on Facebook when I looked; do you happen to be a participant in that mind-warping experience?

Hey John - Laura Compton sent me your way. I'm an Associated Press reporter in Salt Lake City. Just wondering if you're interested in exploring the idea of my writing a story about your looming discipline. Drop me a note and let me know if you want to talk. No commitment . Just a chat. Thanks.

Hi there. Nice writing, mate. Might just add you to my rss-reader :)
I was wondering what that photo in your banner is? Did you take it yourself, or is there anywhere I could find it to use myself?

Would love it as a bg on my iphone to always remind me that +

John, I found you through the article "Saving the Dead" you did for the Nov. 2006 issue of Sunstone. I found the comparative study of post-funerary rites very interesting, and a neglected aspect of Mormon studies.

I love your banner, and am pleased to see you as a budding sci fi author. In addition to my blog mentioned in connection with this comment that addresses cultural and religious studies, you might be interested in TheoFantastique, my website that looks at the fantastic in pop culture and which includes academic analysis from a variety of perspectives: www.theofantastique.com.

Hi xJane,
I just wanted to say I am a liberal Christian (best term I can come up with so far), and I mostly read "mommy blogs" when I spend time on the internet. (Mommy blogs, as you probably know, are way cooler than they are profiled in the media). Anyway, your articles move me and make me think beyond my current understanding/niche---------- so I want to thank you for your time and insight and honesty.
