Inauguration Pictures.

I hope you don’t mind if I share a few of my favorite pics from the past couple of days:
I’m totally fascinated by Rahm Emanuel for some reason. Here he is at the inauguration, gesturing with four more fingers than he typically uses (at a roast for the earthy politician, Obama joked that Emanuel’s loss of his right middle finger “rendered him essentially speechless”):

Here’s one from a White House handout photo of Rahm and Barack (thanks, Deborah!):

The Boston Globe’s Big Picture is quickly becoming one of my favorite windows into the world. When I had a hard time finding good pictures of reactions of average Americans and people around the world (most photos focused on the big actors), the Big Picture came through. The following are of a peaceful vigil in Pakistan and a black woman in Houston reacting to Obama’s swearing in.

Finally, here’s one from the Washington Post (#10 in the slide show) that’s just begging for you to caption it!

Obama: Take ‘em away, officers.
Cheney: We would have succeeded if it weren’t for you meddling youngsters and your hypoallergenic mutt!
