Better than a Thesis

Emerson said that sometimes “a scream is better than a thesis,” and tonight I want to scream, but how do you convey a cry across a keyboard and into the ether? How can you type a suppressed sob, or a yell that lies dormant in the pit of your stomach?

    I should offer context: Jana’s doing great. I think I’m bottling up too much–I’m feeling it build up in my lower back and I’m drowning all my exhaustion, fear and resentment in duty. Maybe blogging is a good release.

    I heard it, and I give you all my sympathies! I’ve got a few suppressed sobs going on myself (just put my girlfriend on a plane yesterday back to Sweden and it’s going to be months before I see her again).

    Hang in there my friend… this too shall pass.
