I really like "Planet Earth" and that other show about the Universe that recently aired on the History Channel. I also caught the last bit of the CBS special about faith and thought it was great too. I am a theist and a Mormon who believes in evolution and am not alone because more and more people my age in the Church are becoming liberal and looking into things for themselves as opposed to taking certain authors words for the truth.

Thanks for that, John. I didn't realize that it's been ten years already.

It just happens that I caught an old episode of Cosmos on the Science Channel (I think; anyway it was somewhere on cable...I have to confess that I recently upgraded to digital cable, because that's where all the best films and documentaries are). It was so cool to see that again after so long...I remember tuning in faithfully every week when Cosmos first ran on PBS.

The thing I always loved best about Sagan was that he was so enthusiastic about his subject.
