My home office is in our storage closet. If you look closely in the PhotoBooth window on my mac, you can see the filing cabinet, storage rack and boxes piled up behind me. My desk is a dining table leaf stacked up on boxes of photo albums. The lighting is pretty much as you see here.

The wall is covered with things to inspire and motivate me. At the center top is a sheet with autographs and writing advice from my favorite science fiction and fantasy authors. On the left is my collection of artists’ riffs on Da Vinci’s Last Supper. Near the picture of Jana in China is this xkcd comic (warning: has “fuck” in it). What else…a Langston Hughes poem, a Golden Compass poster, an Absinthe ad, and lots of green.

If you look closely, you can find a picture of Cory Doctorow, one of my heroes, that I stole off the Webs.

I love having a space I can call my own.

Someday I would like to have space that is dedicated for studying and creativity. Until then, I will have to settle for when my roommate is not home or quiet spots of the library. Cool comic. I also like that you space seems sustainable in the sense that you constructed your table of stuff you already had and it meets your needs. Well, it is NRSV time.

I like that you warned ppl who might be offended by a word by saying that word…:-p

Looks like a great place to work: close the closet doors & enter a new world, neh?

Thanks, rusch! Even though I have this space, I still find myself escaping to the the library or local café. Sometimes I do my best work surrounded by audio/visual/social white noise.

xJane: I guess I’m getting a little surly in my old age…
