Just a recipe recommendation this afternoon folks–but what a recommendation! I whipped this tarragon-spiked Lady Grey Iced Tea as an afterthought for a dinner party last month and got more suprised ooohs and aaahs than anything else I prepared that night. The first trick is to not skimp on the tarragon–use fresh leaves! The second secret is to not tell your guests about the herb. It’s unusual but a great pairing with the other flavors.
I had some trouble tracking down the Lady Grey Tea (which uses lemon as well as oil of bergamot). I’ve seen it in a Twinings Variety Pack. In a pinch, Earl Grey worked very well.

That sounds awesome! Iced, huh? What do you think about it warm…? Cost Plus (World Market) is a great place to get Twinings. They sell the variety pack as well as most of the componants (Lady Grey, Orange Pekoe) loose and bagged.

Cost Plus is a dangerous place…(and thanks for the tip!)
