In other news, Web 2.0, a designation that I used to be morally opposed to but which has its place in describing the form that teh Internets have taken, is being researched by librarians to see how it can be applied to their field. I found this out when I got a friend invite on Facebook from a relative, who happens to be a librarian. She’s also on Twitter, which she apparently loves. I find this to be perfectly awesome: that they’re purposely throwing themselves into a new (and possibly quite scary) medium in order to better serve their customers, improve work-product, and to stay current.
