I’m finding that I like the spouses of the leading Democratic presidential candidates better than the candidates themselves. I was impressed with the following YouTube videos:
- Elizabeth Edwards eloquently rip Ann C**lt*r a new one (I’ve tried to not give Ann any publicity on this site).
- Michelle Obama stumps for her husband on Clinton turf (Harlem).
- Bill Clinton campaigning for Hillary on Larry King.
Michelle Obama reveals elsewhere that she defers to Barack in one critical area of their family life:
”The challenge will be scheduling Harry Potter reading time in between Iowa and New Hampshire and fund-raising, but I guarantee you they will figure out a way to do it,” Michelle Obama said. ”Harry Potter is huge in our house.”
She wasn’t sure how the family would get their copy of the book.
”He handles all of that. That’s one of those things, I’m like ‘You are the Harry Potter parent,’ ” she said.
I’m glad they’ve got that worked out. There’s no such breakdown of Harry Potter duties in the Remy family. It’s every wizard and witch for themselves. With only one copy between four rabid HP fans, you may add to your speculation if all the Remys will survive Book Seven.

Mrs. Edwards is a hero of mine for just that very reason. It was about time somebody did that.

I thought it was going to be along the lines of this. I agree, I really like the campaign wives I’ve seen so far (I say wives, because I’ve not seen as much of Bill-by-himself as I’ve seen of, say, Elizabeth, or of Michelle). Elizabeth took on Coulter, for which I salute her.

The Deathly Hallows delivered today. Will go unread until this household finished The Half Blood Prince. Fun, fun, fun until our daddy takes our T-Bird away…
