I’m experimenting with some changes to the site.¬† Miko and I now have links to the books that we’re reading in the left sidebar, compliments of Library Thing. My list also includes books that are on “next read” shelf–only a randomly selected subset of a few dozen books are displayed, but LibraryThing caches it, so it doesn’t refresh on the fly.
Below the book widgets is a list of links that I encounter in my daily web reading that I feel are good enough to share but not quite on topic enough (or that I just don’t have enough time) to blog about.¬† I plan to add new links to the list daily, so please check back often.

I like the library thing link and added one to my blog too. Kind of a fun way to see what my friends are reading and get ideas for my own list of books to read.

John, you know you can do all that with del.icio.us, right?

Ok, maybe not the cool cover thing.

Elise, I’m a bookshelf voyeur, so I hope this catches on!
John White, I may experiment with a del.icio.us widget, but the Google Reader one takes one click to get it in or out of the sidebar.

How are you doing the pipeline? Is it actually a queue? Is it a variant on the standard blog widget?

John, one note on a earlier change to your site:
It seems that the orangey subtitles look good with most of your banner images, except for the one with the red buddha bibs. With that photo the orange looks a bit odd because they clash with the bright red in the photo. Mybe you can photoshop the photo to more of an orange color?
