if not on fire.
This article made me think of people who claim that Afirmative Action is no longer needed, or that women have come so far as to be equal so feminism is archaic. If that were true, this year’s Super Bowl would not “make history”; if that were true, this article would not even merit being “news”.
In other news, a car bomb in Iraq was being video taped, likely to be shown on an Al Qaeda website. wtf? If the MPAA can find out if I’m torrenting movies, why can’t the CIA figure out the IP addresses of sites that are probably ranked on Google? (incidentally, in researching links for this post, I’m sure I put myself on some kind of list at the CIA. Which, while I’m not a terrorist, so that sucks, I kinda hope that they are tracking these websites…)
I suppose the fact that I listen to the news when I’m listening to the news means that I’m a poor candidate to start listening to Fox news…

When I was working, I frequently called the same people and so developed phone-relationships. One of my very good phone-friends and I got to talking politics one day (we were in agreement about just about everything) and at one point he said, “But I love the Bush Administration. You know why? Because John Ashcroft is listening in!” which caused us both to dissolve into peals of laughter.
