Sex and war/violent imagery (found it here) I have to admit that the point that he raises about sex always being good desensitizing us to victims of sexual violence hadn’t occurred to me. In my journey to recover from Catholicism, thinking of sex as a good thing was a valuable tool (instead of denying an integral part of myself as a person, as a woman, as a lover/beloved). I would hope for other people who have had that kind of trauma that they learn to view it as being good, but all acts are neutral until put into context. I was blind to not see that this applies to all acts…
