Random Link Roundup.

Weblogging used to be all about the links. So here’s a little old school ‘blogging for ya:

Some sad, sad statistics of violence against women around the world (links to Amnesty International, UK).

“We have to deal with greenhouse gases…From [our] point of view, the debate is over.” Who would’ve thunk that Shell Oil would see the writing on the wall?

John Safran, a rabid but hilarious Aussie tears into Mormons for disturbing his Yaz and Kalhua-induced repose early on a Saturday Morning. He travels to Salt Lake City to turn the tables. If the first half is too much to bear, it may be worth skipping to the second half (YouTube link). “Have you ever considered atheism?”

The world’s oldest (80,000 years) and largest (6,000,000 kilograms) living organism. Hints: it’s a resident of Utah, and it isn’t God (at least not an anthropomorphic version).

A strange little comic with an intriguing answer to the question: where do atheists go when they die?

A little Sunstone and self promotion: John Remy asks, “Are you a hyphen-Mormon?”

I saw the Safran clip on someone’s blog yesterday. I found it hilarious but the comments on the blog very ignornant. They seemed to think every door knocked on was a mormon and a return missionary at that. In SLC? Doubtful.

Your blog post over at sunstone is thought provoking. There are many similarities across all practices.
