Sorry for the postlessness–there’s been a convergence of school, work, family and Church commitments over the past week. I think that things will get back on track tomorrow.
Both Jana and E were home sick today, and I left work to take care of them for a bit mid-day. E and I folded laundry while watching both Frontier House and Buffy simultaneously on two different laptops. While that was fun, it just didn’t compare to the parental pride I felt when I discovered how she spent the afternoon. After I returned to work, she apparently chose to spend her free time learning more about the powers of righteousness:
In the background, her brother worked with his teacher to compose his second piece of music for the cello.
What more could a parent ask for?

Ah-hem….
John forgot the photo credit on the pic of E–I’m the one who watched her reading/studying the MacOS 10 manual for much of the afternoon. What a cool kid!
After C finished he cello lesson and E closed the MacManual, the three of us put on a record (yah, one of those vinyl things) of “Peter and the Wolf” and talked about how music can tell stories. C’s latest composition is telling the tale of a very frustrated bee–and he’s using some special bowing and vibrato techniques to invest the story with greater meaning. Such fun!!

Mac OS X and Jedis… there’s truth! I’m a recent convert myself. That picture is priceless– as i’m sure E is
