Taking a cue from Jana:
- Going to the American Academy of Religion’s Western Regional Conference. Meeting with dear old friends and making fascinating new ones. Remembering why I chose an academic career, and feeling reinvigorated by talking to other religious studies geeks.
- Trying to run alongside while the kids get used to their bikes.
- Cooking breakfast for dinner. Eating waffles (with real maple syrup) with my son while discussing World of Warcraft strategies.
- Singing off-key duets with my daughter: “Spiderbite” by the Flaming Lips (‘Cause if it destroooooyed you, it would destrooooooy me), “Debaser” by the Pixies (I am un chien Andalusia!), and The Beatles’ “I am the Walrus” on our walk home.
- Sleeping in on Saturday morning, with Jana’s head on my chest.
- Sitting in the car and listening to the rain fall against the roof like millions of pachinko balls.

Nice “filler” post John. :^)
For me, making such lists is a joy. They are my _Pillow Book_ for the world to read.
Nice to have you joining in, too.

FWIW, I enjoyed sleeping in on Saturday morning with you, too. It’s my favorite way to start a weekend!!
