I began this blog back in 2001 as an experiment in honesty. I felt that I was living two separate lives, like Spiderman, except with all the angst and none of the cool superpowers.
(and no skin-tight costume. Ballet dancers and superheroes must shop at the same place.)
I think I’m gearing up for a return to the authentic life experiment. This is always good for drama and blogging material, because there are social reasons why people maintain secret identities.
Anyhow, the blogosphere is a good place to work these things out. Stay tuned for more mind on firey goodness.

So glad to know that you’re back on board! There is something so human about wanting to hide parts of ourselves–perhaps it is a natural fear of vulnerability.
