Once again, MindOnFire.com’s design rises like a pheonix from its ashes, except in this case, the pheonix is sick, small, frail and not quite ready to take flight. So it’s like the runt of the pheonix clutch. Accidentally inhaling some of those ashes, and coughing and wheezing up a little carbon particle cloud. And not quite ready to fly yet.

I haven’t posted for a while, partly because I’ve been trying to change the design, partly because of this life/living/work thing, but mostly because my MovableType upgrade broke my site. The backend of MindOnFire 1.0 was completely homegrown, and I switched to MovableType for 2.0 (earlier this year) so that I could spend more time blogging and designing and less time coding and debugging. So, after several hours of trying to fix the upgrade (and discovering that other bloggers broke their sites in the same process), I switched to WordPress. So far, things are good.

But I have a lot of work to do!
