last week we had uci’s first annual amnes-tea and coffee night: an evening of coffee house atmosphere and human rights related poetry, readings, and musical pieces. we came away from the whole experience feeling slightly depressed but generally motivated to help fight human rights abuses around the world. i created a presentation in flash, which was accompanied in part by a violinist playing the sad theme from schindler’s list, then by a cd playing john lennon’s “imagine.” the slideshow requires the flash 6 plug-in, will open up in a very plain new window, and may take a few seconds to get started. it’s kind of slow-moving because it wasn’t meant to be a standalone piece, but something to be played in the background of a pensive musical number. let me know what you think::
hope.
