god! will it never end? i was working on the post below and saw on yahoo this headline: suicide bomber kills at least 13 at jerusalem restaurant. a bunch of ordinary people enjoying a lunchtime meal at a sbarro’s–5 or 6 of the dead are children. some israelis wearing t-shirts that read, ‘no arabs - no attacks’, stood around the scene crying out, ‘death to arabs’. the groups that perpetrate the violence on both sides are so short-sighted! if the palestinians win their claims, are the parents or siblings of the dead children going to forget how their innocent lives were taken? they will likely pass their hatred and desire for vengeance on to the next generation of israelis as well. the arabs and israelis may one day achieve their short-term goals for peace but create greater problems for themselves in the long run. violence begets violence, and only peaceful acts can bring true, lasting peace.
